Upon graduation from Waseda University in 1981, Mr Narasaki joined Mitsubishi Corporation. He spent 20 years working in the ICT international business department, of which 3 years were in Silicon Valley (SV), USA. In 2000, he joined a SV venture, Lineo. Later, he joined SOMPO Holdings in 2016 as Chief Digital Officer after passing through ACCESS, IP Infusion, Inc., Midokura etc. He has lived in SV for 12 years and has managed 4 software and venture companies in the SV area. Mr. Naraszaki holds numerous ICT technology related qualifications.

Hélène Stanway is Digital Leader at AXA XL. She leads the company’s Digital Team, an innovation practice within its Global Technology function dedicated to improving processes and capabilities by leveraging emerging technologies.

She is responsible for shaping an internal culture that values innovation, and where trialling new technologies in various levels of maturity and partnering with start-ups is encouraged.

Prior to this role, Hélène Stanway led XL Catlin’s Operations function for Global Specialty.

Kazuhisa Otani is responsible for Zurich’s Commercial business in Japan. He leads a dedicated team of 40 professionals to provide international insurance and risk management solutions. Mr Otani joined Zurich in January 2013 and has held various leadership positions within the company.

Prior to joining Zurich, Mr Otani many years of experience in the insurance industry, having previously worked at Ace, Cigna and INA. He also holds a Bachelor in Economics from the Keio University.

Human Capital Risks & Diversity: The Workplace of The Future

Jacqueline has over 25 years in the Insurance industry. In addition Legrand is also CEO of HighDome, a captive cell company owned by MDS Group. Prior to joining MDS, she was Managing Director at Crystal & Company in New York, heading the International Department. Earlier in her career, Legrand was Director of the national accounts business unit and Member of the Board at Théorème, a French insurance brokerage firm.  Before joining the insurance industry, she worked at IBM, managing client relationships for multinational companies in the automotive industry.

In 2013, Legrand was appointed by French Prime Minister as a Foreign Trade Advisor for the French Government. In 2015 she was elected Vice-President of CCILF (Chambre du Commerce et de l’Industrie Luso Française).
Legrand is the founder of WLT – Women Leadership Group – that aims to support women in leadership roles and to inspire young female talents within the insurance industry.

Established as a mutual insurance association by the German iron and steel industry in 1903, HDI has the interest of its corporate clients ingrained in its DNA. Jens Wohlthat, member of the Executive Board of HDI Global SE with responsibility for the global business segment has been a driving force in the internationalization of the company, allowing HDI to service its business partners in more than 150 countries through its foreign branches, subsidiaries and affiliates as well as network partners. Prior to his current position, Jens Wohlthat was heading HDI’s global liability business and this role responsible for the setting up International Insurance Programs for many of the largest German multinationals.

Further, unbeknownst to many outside the industry, Daimler, with its Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso brands, is also the world’s leading truck manufacturer. Harald Schuster, as Senior Executive responsible for the Global Property, Marine and Risk Engineering Programs and, in parallel, as Managing Director of Daimler Re Brokers, has been an integral leader in the shaping of Daimler’s risk and insurance management culture. He is looking forward to sharing his insight and experience with the participants of the PARIMA Conference 2018 in Tokyo.
