Rashidah Alias

Rashidah Alias is the Chief Risk Officer for Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“PETRONAS”), a global energy group recognised as one of the largest corporations in the world. In this role, she leads and shapes the institutionalisation of risk management within the PETRONAS Group. This includes providing stewardship and sound advisory as regards the balance of risk and reward across businesses and multiple stakeholders as well as risk capability development within the Group.

She began her career at Arthur Andersen, a firm of Chartered Accountants where she was involved in audit and various advisory assignments. Since joining PETRONAS, she has undertaken several roles including senior management positions in the areas of corporate planning, finance and accounts services as well as treasury. Prior to her current role, she was the Chief Financial Officer for PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad, a leading integrated chemicals producer in Malaysia and PETRONAS’ biggest public listed company.

Rashidah graduated from University of New South Wales, Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants. She is also an alumna of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
