I am a current PA-CRP holder, what does this mean for me?
Can I continue using the PA-CRP designation?
No. The PA-CRP will be discontinued and replaced by the RIMS-CRMP moving forward. In 2024, PA-CRP will be transitioning to RIMS-CRMP, and we highly encourage all our existing PA-CRP holders to take a prep course and the RIMS-CRMP exam that is partially subsidised* by PARIMA & RIMS offered until . This offer will cease after March 31, 2024.

What steps do I need to take to earn the RIMS-CRMP?
You need to submit an exam application for review and approval. Once approved, you will receive an email from Pearson VUE in 1-2 days with authorization to schedule your exam within a six-month window.
- Meet the eligibility requirements.
- Apply online at www.RIMS.org/Certification.
- Receive approval to take the exam.
- Schedule an exam date during your six-month authorization period.
- Visit www.PearsonVUE.com/RIMS to schedule your exam at a testing centre or remotely from your home or office.
- Pass the exam to become a RIMS-CRMP.
What documents do I need to include with my exam application?
- University transcript confirming your education completion for degree applicants.
- Signed Employment Experience Affidavit for both degree and non-degree applicants. This form is part of the online application. One signed affidavit from one employer is required.
How can I prepare for the RIMS-CRMP exam?
- OPTION 1: Virtual instructor-led course + exam – USD $500*. Offer expires March 18, 2024
- OPTION 2: Online Self-Study Course + exam – USD $350. Offer expires December 31, 2023
- OPTION 3: Exam only – USD $250. Offer expires on December 31, 2023.

I passed the exam, what are the next steps?
What is the recertification period for the RIMS-CRMP?
Eligible applicants who have passed the RIMS-CRMP exam are considered to have active credentials on the date they receive an official certificate. The recertification period will begin on certification date and end two years on the first day of the month following the date of certification. Any subsequent recertification periods will run from the final day of the recertification month through the first day of the subsequent month after a period of two years.
