Singapore, 14 March 2023 – The Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association (PARIMA) announces today that Annacel A. Natividad has been voted by the PARIMA Board during its General Committee Meeting as the next chairperson of PARIMA with effect from 1 January 2024. Franck Baron, who is the current and founding chairperson of PARIMA since July 2013, will end his 10-year tenure in December 2023 and thereafter remain as an active Executive Board Member, looking after International Affairs.
Before her appointment, Natividad has been an active member of the PARIMA Board since 2013 and has been one of the drivers for the growth of the Association in the Philippines.
Natividad is the Chief Finance Officer of Pilmico Foods Corporation, an Aboitiz Company. Concurrently, she is the Chief Risk Officer of the Food and Agri–Business of the Aboitiz Group, with operating companies in Southeast Asia and China. She has over 16 years of experience in Risk Management and specialises in Insurance Management, BCM, ISMS, GRC, Enterprise Compliance, ESG, Finance and Accounting.
She has been with the Aboitiz Group since 1998, where she held several leadership positions. She started out as a Financial Planning Manager and became the Chief Finance Officer of Super Ferry – Passenger Shipping business of the Aboitiz Group, then moved to Risk Management when she joined the holding company in 2011. From 2016 to 2019, she was appointed as the Chief Risk Officer of Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV), handling the following corporate units and was responsible for implementing the related programmes & initiatives across the Aboitiz Group: Risk Management, Insurance Management, Information Security, Enterprise Compliance and Physical Assets Security.
Natividad is an instrumental member of the PARIMA Board and has actively taken on various roles within the organisation. She has been leading several events and discussions as a moderator, providing valuable insights and perspectives to the risk and insurance management community. She is also actively participating in PARIMA initiatives, including the Mentorship Programme, where she shares her extensive expertise and experience to guide and mentor young professionals in the field. Her involvement in the C-Suite Conversations and My Career Journey programmes has further contributed to developing and growing risk professionals in the Asia-Pacific region. Her unwavering dedication to advancing the profession and cultivating a strong risk management culture in the region is a testament to her outstanding leadership skills and commitment to PARIMA’s vision.

Natividad shares her vision for her new role for the coming year. “Witnessing the tremendous success that PARIMA has achieved since its establishment a decade ago, I know I have big shoes to fill. However, with the support of the PARIMA Board, partners, and members, I am confident that we can continue to build on Franck’s legacy and advance PARIMA’s vision of promoting the risk management profession and fostering a strong risk management culture in the region. Together, we will identify the critical pillars and objectives that will guide us over the next 3-5 years to achieve our goals. Nothing beats teamwork, and we will succeed as one PARIMA team with your help, support, and cooperation.”
Regarding his thoughts on Natividad’s appointment, Baron exclaims: “What a great opportunity for PARIMA to be led now by an Asian figure of Anne’s stature. She fits perfectly the role as Chairperson of PARIMA and I am extremely honoured to pass the baton to her.”
As its founder, Baron with his team has led PARIMA’s development with just a handful of passionate risk professionals to an organisation with close to 2,700 members in 22 APAC countries. “My time with PARIMA has been among the most rewarding. I am truly blessed to have met many of my peers and connected on various levels. I will do my very best to provide continued support to PARIMA and to Anne in her new role and help them both to reach new heights,” Baron expressed.
