Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I’m not confident to take the exam on 21st May?

You can re-schedule your exam to another date; kindly bear in mind that this will be an online examination. For the list of available exam dates, please refer to this link: https://parima.org/examination/

What preparation do I need to do before attending the course?

We require a basic understanding and practice of ERM. Participants should at least be familiar with the basic concepts of ERM before attending the course.  Optimally, we recommend participants to read the textbooks before coming, otherwise, this session will support you in navigating through the chapters and familiarise you with the content

Can I take the training without taking the exam or vice versa?

Yes. We do encourage those who take the workshop to take the exam as well to utilise the learnings that they acquired throughout the day. We likewise encourage those who will be taking the exam to attend the workshop to help them see better how to put convert the textbook into action and prepare them for the upcoming exam.

Do I need to be a PARIMA member to take the training and/or exam?

No, all risk managers are encouraged to take both. PARIMA Members on the other hand are given a member-preferred rate for the Exam. PARIMA Membership is exclusive and complimentary to all risk managers.
