Mardiana is the Senior Manager of Insurance Management at Malaysia Airlines, where she has been the driving force behind the airline’s insurance programme. With nearly 20 years experience in the insurance industry, she ensures comprehensive risk coverage and provides strategic advice essential to the airline’s operations.
Her career includes over 10 years at Malaysia Airlines and a 5-year tenure at AIG as a Multinational Manager. At AIG, she managed insurance programs across the Asia Pacific region and trained underwriters, showcasing her ability to handle complex multinational insurance landscapes.
Mardiana is also a champion of sustainability and women’s empowerment. She won the MAG Idea Box – Sustainability Chapter Award and leads Women@MAG, a key initiative under the company’s sustainability blueprint. Under her leadership, Women@MAG has grown to over 1,000 members in just two years, earning multiple internal awards and being shortlisted for the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia Sustainability Award.
Mardiana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics from Indiana University Bloomington, reflecting her strong blend of technical and strategic insight. Beyond her professional commitments, she enjoys traveling, reflecting her love for exploration and new experiences, both personally and professionally.
