PARIMA Mumbai Conference 2026

The New

Risk Order

Join Asia’s leading risk and insurance gathering at PARIMA Mumbai. Connect with industry leaders, explore emerging risk solutions, and shape the future of resilience.

We are entering a new era of risk.

Global dynamics are shifting, and the hierarchy of risks is being constantly redefined. Geopolitical tensions, technological acceleration, climate pressures, and societal transformations are evolving faster than traditional frameworks can keep pace. In this context, “order” takes on multiple dimensions: a new hierarchy of risks, a new structure for interpreting them, and a new mandate for risk leaders to respond with agility and foresight.

This new order is not imposed—it is emerging. And as Asia charts its own course, the region is increasingly shaping how risks are understood and managed on its own terms.

In 2026, The New Risk Order invites risk professionals to explore this evolving landscape, lead with clarity, adapt with confidence, and help define the future of the profession in a world where the rules—and the risks—are continually being rewritten.

Navigating Macroeconomic Risks – India and the Fragmenting World
The interaction will focus on the risks from a fragmenting world. It will dwell upon India’s macroeconomic stability in the rapidly changing global landscape marked by trade tensions, geopolitical shifts, and climate uncertainties. It will cover how India has managed shocks like post-pandemic inflation and supply chain disruptions through resilient fiscal and monetary policies.

It will also explore how this turbulent world backdrop can be India’s opportunity to take the lead and how India’s rise and its policies will be key for the rest of the world.

Understanding Evolving Natural Hazard Risk in Fast Growing Markets
With rapid industrialisation, urban expansion and increasing concentration of high-value assets, India presents a unique risk profile that is evolving quickly. Drawing on data, research, and modelling from global sources, natural hazard trends highlight how exposure is changing in fast-growing markets across Asia, and where organisations may be underestimating risk. Hazard intensity, asset concentration, and development patterns combine to shape loss potential over time, creating increasing financial vulnerability.

A practical, science-based approach to resilience enables organisations to translate insight into action—helping to protect investments, reduce volatility, and support sustainable growth in complex operating environments.

Managing Transaction Risk in M&A: The Role and Limits of Transactional Liability Insurance
Transactional Liability Insurance has become an increasingly important feature of M&A transactions, influencing deal structure, negotiations, and risk allocation between buyers and sellers. This session focuses on the role such insurance plays in supporting M&A transactions, including how it is used to facilitate deal certainty. It will also address common misconceptions and limitations, highlighting why transactional liability insurance is a risk‑transfer tool rather than a substitute for sound deal fundamentals.

Risk Without Borders: When Geopolitics Rewrites Economics
In today’s world, geopolitics is no longer a background variable, it is a primary risk driver. Elections, wars, sanctions, trade realignments, energy shocks, currency volatility, and capital controls are reshaping business risk faster than traditional risk frameworks can adapt. For risk managers, the challenge is no longer whether geopolitics will impact the organisation but how quickly, how severely, and where first.

This session will decode:
  • How global geopolitical shifts are rewiring economic fundamentals
  • Why macro risks now directly impact operational, financial, people, supply chain, and insurance risks
  • How Indian and multinational organisations should rethink risk appetite, scenario planning, and capital protection in an era of persistent uncertainty

When Risks Converge: Using Analytics to Build Resilience and Growth in a Volatile World
Persistent, interconnected volatility is reshaping how organisations make property & casualty risk decisions. Weather volatility isn’t theoretical anymore – it’s in every balance sheet conversation. Social inflation is reshaping casualty portfolios in real time. Cyber has gone from emerging risk to systemic threat. This session explores how shifting market dynamics, escalating extreme weather and evolving liability pressures are changing the risk–return equation for buyers. Our experts will show how advanced data, analytics and a more connected risk operating model can empower forward-thinking risk leaders in Asia to optimise their Risk programs, unlock value while market conditions remain favourable, and build long term resilience in advance of the next market turn.
