The Development Process
What is the PARIMA Mentoring Programme?
A career in risk management is, more often than not, an off-the-beaten-path. Historically, risk professionals often come from widely diverse backgrounds and expertise before landing in their current roles.
This programme is an initiative by PARIMA to help guide the next generation of risk managers on their career goals & professional development and open opportunities to become risk champions of the future. Our mentors have years, even decades of experience in the field and are recognised leaders in the risk community.
How does it work?
We will be matching you with one of our mentors who are all senior risk professionals from distinguished corporations in APAC. We will arrange for the mentee and the mentor to have six (6) 1-on-1 sessions over a six month timeframe via our virtual platform, which would last for an hour each.
The PARIMA Mentoring Initiative is based on the PARIMA Risk Competency Framework (RCF) developed by the Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association (PARIMA) which seeks to articulate the behaviours and skills essential for risk professionals to succeed and contribute to their organisation in a meaningful way. It also provides risk professionals with a ‘common language’ that defines proficiency at each stage of their career and furthers their professional development.
