Ma. Victoria A. Tan is currently the Head of Group Risk Management and Sustainability Unit of Ayala Corporation, one of the largest and most respected Philippine conglomerates with leadership positions in real estate, financial services, telecommunications, and a broad range of investments in water, electronics manufacturing, automotive, business process outsourcing, education, power generation and transport infrastructure.

In her role, she supports the group Chief Risk and Sustainability Officer by implementing policy and programs designed to increase risk-awareness within the organization and by managing the conglomerate-wide annual sustainability reporting process and annual summit.

She has over 25 years of experience in the field of finance & controllership, administration & operations, internal audit, and risk management.  She started her audit career with Carlos J. Valdes & Co., a member firm of Coopers & Lybrand, and the United States Agency for International Development before moving to Indonesia for seven years where she was a part of the Djajanti Group.

Moving back to the Philippines in 1998, she then joined Smart Communications, Inc. and was seconded to a number of its subsidiaries with interest in e-commerce and call center operations before managing its mainstream revenue accounting unit.  She was its Chief Audit Executive prior to joining Ayala Corporation.

Ma. Victoria graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and was one of the board placers in the October 1986 Certified Public Accountant Licensure examination.
