Mapping and Managing Trade Risk in Taiwan’s Evolving Landscape
Taiwan’s pivotal role in global trade places it within a complex and rapidly evolving risk landscape. Geopolitical tensions, economic shifts, security concerns, extreme weather events, environmental disruptions and AI‑driven cyber threats are increasingly interconnected, creating compounding risks for organisations operating in, or trading with, Taiwan.

This workshop will examine the key trade‑related risks affecting Taiwan, drawing on recent data, practical case studies and leading risk‑management practices. It will highlight how new digital tools and analytics‑driven solutions can be used to identify, monitor and assess these risks in near real time, helping organisations understand how risks interact and cascade across supply chains, markets and operations.

Next-Gen Risk Takers, a speaking challenge, is a platform for emerging Risk Professionals to share their risk-related learnings and stories to a live audience. Prior to this, candidates submitted their applications in the form of an essay. While many entries had come in, only a selected few were chosen by PARIMA’s Executive Committee. These finalists will be sharing their risk stories to the audience on the Masterclass Day. The winner(s) of the challenge will be awarded with a subsidised trip and an opportunity to speak at the flagship PARIMA Conference in Singapore, scheduled for 14-15 October 2026.
