The challenge attracted strong interest from the local risk community, with eight risk professionals from various industries applying to take part. Following a competitive selection process, three finalists were selected to compete in the finals.
Each finalist was given 15 minutes to deliver their presentation, followed by a live Q&A session where they responded to questions from both the audience and a distinguished panel of judges. The challenge tested not only their knowledge of risk management, but also their ability to communicate ideas with clarity, confidence, and critical thinking under pressure.
The three finalists who took centre stage were:
- Junning Tu, ERM Specialist at Aboitiz Foods
- Karson K. C. Tang, Assistant Manager – Enterprise Risk at MTR Corporation Limited
- Animus Chow, Assistant Security Operations Manager at The Walt Disney Company (Hong Kong) Limited
Following a compelling round of presentations, the judges deliberated and selected Animus Chow as the winner of the Next-Gen Risk Takers Challenge – Hong Kong Edition.

“Winning the challenge is a bonus, but what I truly valued was the experience of learning about different areas of risk management. It gave me the opportunity to speak for my sector, engage with others, and highlight that our profession is just as important and impactful as any other field within risk management,” said Animus.

“Stay relaxed and don’t see it as a very serious competition. Take this challenge as an opportunity to connect with and meet more people in the risk management community,” said Junning.

“It’s a fun yet challenging experience, and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The most valuable takeaway for me has been the opportunity to learn from my mentor, as well as experienced risk professionals and seniors in the field,” said Karson.

Winners will receive a subsidised trip and the opportunity to take part in the inaugural Grand Final at the PARIMA Singapore Conference from 14 to 15 October 2026.
