PARIMA PRESS RELEASE

PARIMA’s Third Next-Gen Risk Takers Challenge Held in Mumbai, India, with Sonal Sisodia Named as the Winner

13 June 2025 –– PARIMA concluded its third Next-Gen Risk Takers challenge, a dynamic speaking competition designed to empower emerging risk professionals by providing them with a platform to share their insights and experiences with a live audience.

Eight risk managers from various industries applied for the challenge, with three finalists selected to compete in the finals. Each finalist had 15 minutes to deliver their speech and respond to questions from both the audience and a distinguished panel of judges, aiming to impress with their clarity, confidence, and on-the-spot thinking.

The three finalists who took centre stage were:

  • Abhijeet Mhatre, General Manager at Reliance Infrastructure Limited
  • Sonal Sisodia, HR professional, Employee Benefits Specialist at Acuity Knowledge Partners
  • Dr Poonam B Gilani, Senior Manager – Group Insurance at Airtel

After a compelling round of speeches, the judges deliberated and selected Sonal Sisodia as the winner of the Next-Gen Risk Takers, Mumbai Edition, joining our first-round and second-round winner –– Daisuke Kamei from Japan, and Muhammad Uzair Abd Rais from Malaysia.

“I am very excited about coming to Singapore, and really grateful to all the judges for recognising my talent. One piece of advice I’d like to share with risk managers is to always take a proactive approach to identifying the mitigating risks, rather than waiting to react,” said Sonal.

“It’s inspiring to see emerging risk professionals from diverse industries come together — sharing insights, learning from each other, and forming meaningful connections. This platform empowers them to expand their perspectives, enhance their skills, and help shape the future of risk management,” said Annacel A. Natividad, President of PARIMA.

Following the success of this inaugural speaking challenge, PARIMA is excited to announce that the upcoming Next-Gen Risk Takers will be hosted in Hong Kong on 25 September 2025. These challenges aim to continue fostering the next generation of risk leaders, providing them with opportunities to engage, learn, and grow within the industry.
